Here are just a few of the products we can supply - with a description of their uses.

Ballast
A mixture of sand and gravel used to make concrete. General uses include mixing with concrete for foundations and footings.

Building Sand
With its fine grains, building sand is often called soft sand. Uses include as a mix with cement, making mortar for bricklaying, for pointing, and in wall building. -
Hardcore
A recycled product generally from demolition waste and rubble. Commonly used as a fill material underneath a sub base layer when building drives, roads and pathways. -
Sand - As Dug
Unprocessed sand dug straight from the ground. Often used as pipe bedding or as fill for drains or ducts. -
Sharp Sand
A rough, graded sand which has a higher percentage of larger grain sizes. It allows moisture movement from area to area. Ideal for laying block paving. Uses include in the garden in seed composts and propagating benches. -
10mm Pea Shingle
Quarried, crushed stones screened to produce different sizes. Contains both rounded and angular particles. Used for decorative purposes, driveways, flowerbeds and paths. -
20mm Pea Shingle
Quarried, crushed stones screened to produce different sizes. Contains both rounded and angular particles. Often used for driveways. -
40mm Pea Shingle
Quarried, crushed stones screened to produce different sizes. Contains both rounded and angular particles. Commonly used for drainage purposes. -
MOT Type 1 - Crushed Concrete
Concrete that has been crushed, and which meets the requirement of the Department of Transport Specification for Highway Works. Generally contains more dust than MOT type 1 limestone and is generally used in construction of car parks, driveways and highways. -
MOT Type 1 - Limestone
This is crushed limestone, meeting the requirement of the Department of Transport Specification for Highway Work. Used as a high quality fill or sub-base material and often used for the construction of car parks, driveways and highways. -
Road Planings
A recycled material made when a "planer" mills the surface of a road into small chunks.
Often used as a temporary surface to improve ground stability for example on dirt tracks and roads. -
Top Soil (10mm)
Screened topsoil - This is free from any large rocks or large clods of earth. Commonly used in landscaping projects -
Scalpings
Used as a medium quality fill or sub-base material in the construction of access paths, car parks, driveways and other light applications.
