Many of our employees have been with our company for many years and are integral to its success; their experience is invaluable to us as is the Health & Safety of all of our operators, contractors and the public.​

Our operatives, directors and supervisors are trained and accredited to ensure the highest standards of competence in their field and our modern fleet of vehicles have the following safety equipment installed as standard;

 

  • All round visibility mirrors 

  • Colour reversing cameras

  • Double flashing beacons

  • Easy sheets fitted as standard

  • Hands free kits

  • Satellite Navigation Systems

  • GPS Vehicle Tracking

  • Digital Tachographs

  • Warning Signage

  • 6 weekly checks by a qualified technician to ensure our vehicles meet all road safety standards.

We are extremely proud to have achieved FORS Silver Accreditation. The Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a national accreditation scheme designed to help fleet operators maintain high standards within their organisation. Each year STS is robustly audited against best practice standards for the following;

  • Compliance with CLOCS Standard for Construction Logistics
  • Compliance with TFL's Work Related Road Risk (WRRR)

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) is the largest and most highly recognised card scheme for the plant industry. Designed to prove the skills of plant operators, it is awarded through a combination of professional competence and health and safety awareness

  • All of our drivers hold a valid CPCS card

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is a card scheme which provides proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate level of training and qualifications for the job they do on site. The CSCS scheme is designed to improve standards and reduce accidents on UK construction sites.
